Farewell to Prague

Our last night in Prague was spent together at a farewell dinner. The room was noisy with excited conversation and laughter, happiness in meeting new friends and a shared travel experience with long-time friends.

Christel Yount made presentations and expressed appreciation to all the soloists, conductors and accompanists. She was also the mastermind of a special gift to director Tim Carney: the complete score of The Sound of Music and the performance of “So long, farewell.” Click here to watch the YouTube video.

Dinner was wild boar with a plum sauce and spiced dumplings, plus a delicious pistachio crème brulée for dessert.

After dinner we exited the restaurant and were standing around saying final goodbye, and singing “Happy Birthday” to Maile. Then the group spontaneously broke into singing “Aloha Oe,” a popular farewell song in Hawaii.

Deb and Bettina, our tour directors.

Thank you, Tim and the Hawaii Masterworks Chorus! Everyone had a GREAT time!
