Services of remembrance

Carl Crosier, 1945-2014
Carl Crosier, 1945-2014

Those of you who knew Carl Crosier knew that he planned out everything, including his funeral services, to the last detail. He chose the music, contracted the singers, spoke with the clergy, and instructed us on all his wishes — even on what he was to wear. Unfortunately, he didn’t prepare a spreadsheet, as was his custom for all major musical events. You might remember his quote: I don’t know how Bach did all this without a spreadsheet!

So you can mark your calendars for the following services of remembrance:

  1. Kathy, I am Carol’s friend in Sarasota and I just want to express my sincere sympathy to your family. I have known Carol for so many years and have heard all about” Carl and Kathy”. It sounds as those the next few days will be busy celebrating a wonderful life of a terrific husband, father, and brother. My prayers will be with your family this week.

  2. Katherine,
How very sad Tom and I are to read of Carl’s death. We last saw Carl and you in Hawaii (November, 2010) when Carl was conducting the Monteverdi “Vespers”. And we remember the many times we have worshiped with you in Honolulu.
May God grant you peace in the days ahead. And may your music be especially comforting.

    With affection,
    Ina Berkey (ALCM)
    Williamsburg, VA
