Guess who’s in town?

It’s Jennifer Lane, the mezzo soprano who sang in the Lutheran Church’s performances of Bach’s St. Matthew Passion, St. John Passion and Pergolesi Stabat Mater! She has also come to Hawaii frequently to perform with the summer festivals of the Hawaii Vocal Arts Ensemble (conducted by Tim Carney).

This trip, though, I think is purely for pleasure, and I heard rumors that Hawaii may someday be one of her retirement destinations.

We are so fortunate that we were able to connect with Jennifer (and her husband, Jim Carr, also a musician) before we leave on our trip! We had them over for drinks and pupus on Saturday night. Tim Carney, has of course, been involved with many musical productions at LCH over the years.

    Enchanted Isle Vocal Workshop with Jennifer Lane, June 11-16. Open to all interested singers. Coachings and masterclasses with Jennifer Lane. I encourage all of you to consider working with Jennifer during the week. She is a master teacher, and every singer who has worked with her in past workshops has benefitted enormously. Let me know if you would like to do 1, 2, 3 sessions, afternoons only, evenings only, or a combination. If you want to participate, we can work out something that is comfortable for your budget.

    Full week, all sessions, reception and final Concert $240 (auditors $90)
    Evenings only, recital, reception and final Concert $120 (auditors $45)
    Afternoons only, recital, reception and final Concert $120 (auditors $45)
    Single session singing $35
    Audit single session $20

    Private coaching with Ms Lane can be arranged.
    A limited number of scholarships are available.
